General
 
What is your photography style?
My photography style is true-to-life, warm, and focused on real moments. I try to document the day as it naturally unfolds while also helping guide when needed so you feel comfortable and relaxed in front of the camera.
Do you require a deposit to book?
Yes. I require a 25% retainer and a signed contract to officially reserve your date. Once those are completed, your date is secured on my calendar! I try to make this process as easy and straightforward as possible because I know wedding planning can already feel like a lot.
Do you help pick locations for photo shoots?
Definitely! If you already have a location that’s meaningful to you, I’m always happy to shoot there. If you’re not sure where to go, I can recommend locations all around Middle Tennessee, from Clarksville to Franklin and everything in between, depending on the look and feel you’re going for. :)
How many photos will we receive?
It depends on the type of session or wedding coverage, but generally:
- Portrait sessions: 25–30 photos
- Engagement sessions: 30–40 photos
- Weddings: 500+ photos
My goal is always to deliver a full gallery that tells the story, not just hit a certain number of images.
Can we request specific photos or provide a shot list?
Absolutely. I always want to know if there are specific photos, people, or details that are important to you. Especially for family photos, I usually recommend making a short list so we don’t miss anyone.
How are photos delivered?
All photos are delivered through an online gallery where you can download, share, and print your images. You can share the gallery with friends and family and download the images as many times as you’d like.
Do you edit all the photos?
Yes. Every image that I deliver is edited by me for color, lighting, and overall consistency so your gallery feels cohesive and true to life.
Do you retouch blemishes?
I always remove temporary blemishes and small distractions, but I also want you to still look like yourself. If there’s something specific you’re worried about, just let me know and I’ll always do my best to help. :)
Can we print our photos anywhere?
Yes, you can print your photos anywhere you’d like. I never want people to feel limited with their photos. That said, I do always recommend using professional photo labs because the color quality, paper, and longevity are much better than most drugstore printers. If you’re investing in photography to capture important moments, it’s worth printing them somewhere that will do the images justice. I offer professional printing for all my clients!
 
Weddings & Engagements
 
How far in advance should we book our wedding photographer?
I usually recommend booking 6–12 months in advance, especially for spring and fall weddings around Nashville and Middle Tennessee. Dates can fill up quickly, but if your wedding is coming up sooner, still reach out!
Do you travel outside of Nashville or photograph destination weddings?
Yes! I’m based in Nashville, Tennessee, but I photograph weddings and sessions all throughout Middle Tennessee and I’m always open to travel and destination weddings! I love seeing new places and documenting weddings in new environments.
What are the benefits of having a second photographer?
A second photographer allows more of your day to be documented at the same time. While I’m photographing one moment, they can be capturing something else happening, different angles, more candid moments. It helps tell a more complete story!
What should we wear for our engagement session?
I always tell my couples to wear something that feels like them and that they feel confident in. When you feel comfortable and confident, it shows in the photos. I can also send an outfit guide to help with colors, patterns, and planning outfits together!
Do you help with wedding timelines?
Yes! I help all of my wedding couples build a photography timeline so the day flows well and we have enough time for photos without anything feeling rushed. This is actually one of the biggest ways I help make the wedding day feel calm and organized.
Do you offer additional hours of coverage?
Yes. Additional hours can be added to most collections if you’d like more of your day documented.
Do you offer albums?
Yes! Albums are one of my favorite things couples order because there’s something really special about having your photos printed and bound into something you can hold onto and flip through years later. Digital photos are wonderful but albums become something tangible that you can keep forever. :')
